About Whiskers Lodge

Whiskers Lodge is a boutique cat boarding lodge designed around calm care, enrichment, and premium hospitality for cats. We have created a quiet, cat-only environment focused on thoughtful routines, beautiful spaces, and individualized attention for every guest.

We are currently hiring Cat Care Associates to support daily lodge operations during scheduled 3-4 hour shifts. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on animal care, takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards, and values creating positive experiences for both cats and their humans.

This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling based on business needs. Benefits are not currently offered.

Core Responsibilities

• Clean and refresh guest suites, enrichment spaces, litter areas, and shared lodge environments
• Support daily care routines including feeding, water refreshes, observation, and enrichment activities
• Safely and calmly interact with cats of varying personalities, ages, and comfort levels
• Maintain a peaceful, organized, guest-ready environment throughout the lodge
• Monitor guest behavior and communicate concerns or observations to leadership
• Follow established cleaning, sanitation, safety, and care protocols
• Assist with laundry, dishes, stocking supplies, and general operational upkeep
• Support a hospitality-focused experience for both cats and their humans

Qualifications

• Genuine comfort working with cats of all temperaments, including shy, nervous, senior, or high-energy cats
• Previous animal care experience preferred beyond personal pet ownership
• Ability to perform physically active work, including standing, bending, lifting, cleaning, and moving supplies throughout a shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care instructions consistently
• Reliable, communicative, and comfortable working independently within a small team environment
• Comfortable with cleaning-focused responsibilities as a significant part of the role
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed

Examples of relevant experience may include veterinary clinics, rescue or fostering organizations, pet sitting, boarding facilities, grooming support, animal shelters, or other professional animal care settings.
